I am a coffee drinker and lattes are my caffeine cocktail of choice (I think it stems from my love of coffee ice cream as a little girl).  When our espresso maker is working (it’s quite temperamental), I make a latte every morning.  If it’s not working, I go around the corner to our local coffee shop and get my caffeine fix there. Lattes are my daily guilty pleasure.  I don’t know what it is or why it is, but they are.  But, if I’m traveling, unless someplace known for their coffee, I head straight for the nearest Starbucks. Friends and family members alike find it a little irritating that I don’t want to drink their coffee or that I will pass by 2 or 3 perfectly good coffee shops in search of a Starbucks.  My apologies to you all!  There’s just something about knowing that wherever I may be, separated from my creature comforts, I can get a little piece of home and a consistently good cup of joe.  Of course now my dilemma is that our espresso machine has been broken for the past few weeks and a Starbucks opened up across the street yesterday. Dilemmas, dilemmas, dilemmas!
